Wobbly Cod is a bright and spacious family home located a stone’s throw from the UNESCO World Heritage harbour in Charlestown, Cornwall.
Guests are greeted by a luxurious but welcoming environment that feels like a home away from home. Expect Cornish goodies, a wood burning stove, luxury linens and towels, wi-fi and gas central heating throughout and plenty of private onsite-parking.

The main house is an uplifting space with light filled interiors and comfort, impeccably and thoughtfully designed. There are four beautiful bedrooms, each one with a unique style and colour palette. The master bedroom boasts an emperor-size four poster bed, an ensuite bathroom, and a walk-in wardrobe, offering the utmost in relaxation and privacy. Another bedroom features a luxurious super king-size zip and link bed with an option for an additional full sized single. There is a king-size bed in the third bedroom, while a fourth bedroom offers a cabin bed with a double base, accommodating three guests comfortably.
In the living spaces you will find a cosy snug and spacious drawing room, complete with oversized seating, wood burning stove and doors leading to a sunlit conservatory at the front, as well as doors opening onto the stunning garden at the rear.
A cosy dining room and a generously equipped kitchen, again with French doors leading into the garden, are perfect for socialising and savouring culinary delights, prepared with local ingredients. A sprawling games room completes the ground floor. Why not challenge your skills in a game of, ping pong, pool, or table football? Or simply engage in a friendly board game competition in the snug.
The annexe (fondly known as 'Codswallop') is a first-floor coach house accessed by a private entrance and stairs, no less luxurious than the main house, this self-contained retreat is ideal for multiple generation families or friends seeking a flexible and relaxing getaway.
There are two beautifully appointed bedrooms; the first featuring a super king-size zip and link bed, providing the versatility to customise your sleeping arrangements, and the second a luxurious king-size bed, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after your coastal adventures. A well-appointed shower room guarantees you start your day refreshed and invigorated. At the heart of this chic bolt hole is an open plan living, kitchen and dining area.
One of Wobbly Cod’s most attractive features is however the expansive gardens in which to dine alfresco. At the rear is a stunning landscaped multi-level oasis, complete with huge dining table, swinging egg chair and outdoor BBQ. There is even an outdoor shower and hooks to dry wetsuits. At the front are large, landscaped lawns, the perfect spot for unwinding with a glass of wine and appreciating the serenity of your surroundings.
Wobbly Cod is a short stroll away from Charlestown harbour and its tall ships, a UNSECO world heritage site, and the last working 18th Century Georgian harbour in the UK. The harbour, which has been used as the backdrop for BBC's Poldark and The Eagle Has Landed, offers an array of tempting cafes and restaurants. From fresh seafood at Spring Tide, to tapas in The Cellar or quayside pop up delights at HarbourQ. Rise at dawn to see the tiny fishing fleet landing the day’s catch, spot buzzards and basking sharks, then while away the afternoon on Charlestown beach; perfect for an afternoon swim, kayaking, rock-pooling or a picnic with family and friends.
The South West Costal Path, just along from the harbour, and is set in rolling countryside with breathtaking seascapes and a myriad of scenic coves. Or, for those eager to explore further afield, Wobbly Cod is close to many of Cornwall’s most renowned attractions, including the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan and all the Roseland Peninsula has to offer.
